THE PALIN FACTOR

On July 30, 2011, in GOP Candidates, Uncategorized, by Vanguard of Freedom

“Out here in proverbial politico fly-over country, we little folk are watching the debt ceiling debate with great interest and concern. Today I re-read the open letter I wrote to Republican Freshman Members of Congress in November 2010, just days after they were ushered into office in an historic landslide victory due in large part to the activism of commonsense patriots who are considered part of the Tea Party movement. I respectfully ask these GOP Freshman to re-read this letter and remember us “little people” who believed in them, donated to their campaigns, spent hours tirelessly volunteering for them, and trusted them with our votes. This new wave of public servants may recall that they were sent to D.C. for such a time as this.”  SARAH PALIN

Is it too soon to speculate about Sarah Palin as a 2012 Presidential candidate?

Or a Rick Perry candidacy? Game changers!  As it is Rick Perry’s anticipated entry into the primary race is majorly taking up most of the oxygen from Tim Pawlenty’s, John Huntsman’s, and Rick Santorum’s campaigns.

While Michele Bachmann is “hanging-in-there,”  Gallup shows Perry in second place behind Mitt Romney, as soon as the Texas Governor enters the race.  GALLUP POLL

We can safely say that Sarah Palin is the most vetted candidate, since vetting was invented.  No one even conceives that Sarah Palin would have any problem at this time, qualifying for a National Security Top Secret Clearance, and she is unapologetically Conservative and Tea Party.  And while Perry has embraced the Tea Party, which edges out Romney to a degree, he WAS a Democrat before he became a “born-again” Conservative.

Adding Palin and Perry to the primary contest majorly alters the race track.

Most all of the factors for most of the candidates have been already played out in various forums as contingencies, but there is one factor that is a huge impact in polls that is never factored in, at least not publicly.

That factor is “political correctness.”  This is a major factor, because there has been a significant amount of intimidation leveled at critics, when it comes to criticism against Barack Obama.  In fact, accusations of racism are not uncommon against his critics, for merely raising doubts about his ability to govern.

It is quite amazing that polls, which purport to be scientific, do not indicate poliical correctness as a factor in determining poll results.  It is my contention that this is the “mystery” or the inconsistency in polls, which, while they show major dissatisfaction with Obama, they still show his popularity as very high.

Of course, I am speculating, but I am partial to believing that if political correctness was dropped (or added) as the case might be, to the polling, polls would have a different result.  Polls may influence political opinion, when they show someone as popular. There may be those that would join the band-wagon, because they want to follow the popular trend.

There is a way to “bear-out” this speculation, or theory, and that is by measuring against the context of the 2010 elections, which provided a substantial gain for the Tea Party in the House of Representatives.

Unlike the Presidential elections, and the elections for the Senate, Representatives are the most direct representation for Americans in our Constitutional Republic. Senators are chosen across a wide expanse of territory (in the larger states).  The President is chosen from the entirety of the fify states.  But Congress men and women are chosen from right down the street in a local district.  The proximity and “local-ness” of Representatives provides easier access, a closer relationship to constituents, and a better measure of the pulse of the “American Street,” to coin a phrase.

And that pulse shows a tremendous dissatisfaction with business-as-usual-Progressive Republicans, and Socialist Democrats.

Do the math, taking into account “political correctness” and it changes the political landscape significantly.

Add this too.  Who says Sarah Palin is “polarizing?”  It is those who have spent zillions of dollars vetting her, including entrenched “establishment” Republicans, who have much to lose from her candidacy.  She did after, all, take on her own party in Alaska and won, and to Americans who have had enough of socialism, whether it is Blue or Red, Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air.

And add this. There are those, epitomized by none other than people like Pat Caddell, who believe very strongly that the traditional Democrat party has been hijacked by Socialists.  This voter public is probably much larger than you imagine.  In the South there are a considerable number of politicians who changed party affiliation from Democrat to Republican, because they felt “the Democrat party had left them.”  Indeed many Democrats converted to the Socialist religion, but many did not, including minority voters.

Minorities, if you were to put aside “mild” amnesia, were not socialists.  The Black civil rights movement was not a socialist movement.  The Hispanic civil rights movement was not a socialist movement.  Socialists hijacked these and other movements with a globalist agenda, with big money from foundations, from vested interests, and foreign assistance.

To wit:  who are the ones suffering from the Obama Socialist agenda the most?  The ones he purports to help, which are the poor, the minorities, the elderly, and those formerly lower income bracket people that made it into the “middle class,” who are hit hard by high gasoline prices, high costs of food and shelter.

These people wanted equal rights. They wanted equality and parity with other Americans and fought hard for the chance to get it.  And yet their movements were co-opted and taken over by a political faction that uses them time and again to achieve their socialist agenda, and continues to betray their purposes of Equality and Freedom.

These are elements that must be factored into the 2012 primary and general elections, if Americans are to win the nation back, because this time, the electorate will not be winning the Presidency, the Congress, or the Judiciary.  They will be winning the nation.

These factors are crucial, and in the primaries, they must be factored in, so that an accurate assessment can be made, if indeed we will see a President Palin, a President PerryRomneyBachman, or another, that will not betray again our Constitution to Socialists hell-bent on destroying our culture, and our way of Life.

In 2012, we will either be governed by a false, pretended Constitutional Republic, which will in reality be a Socialist dictatorship, or we will be governed by YOU The People.

  1. What I admire most, and makes me trust Sarah, is that she is human enough to make mistakes, just the same as the rest of us.
Yet She has the background, and the personality to lead this Nation, without the B.S., of the average candidates, and is still able to charm the bitterest of opponents.

I would vote for Sarah Palin for President because she genuinely loves America; and I am supremely confident that she would always strive to do what’s truly in the best interests of our Nation and the vast majority of her citizens–on every important issue.

For me, no other candidate in the field inspires anywhere near as much confidence on this score as the Good Governor does.

  3. Palin/Bachmann for President

  4. Robert Steward says:

The words used by Marxist communists who have changed their names to liberal…then progressive always amaze me. The say Sarah Palin is polarizing! And all conservatives go slackjaw on me. First of all I like the word polarizing! I don’t want Sarah Palin to appeal to liberal marxists, muslims and anti American…Americans! The reason for her “MASS” appeal is because she actually stands for what she is saying. Yes that is polarizing! I don’t want her to stand for liberal and conservative ideals. Conservatives have gotten so comfortable in America they forget we need to defend conservatism. And when someone calls us a name; racist, polarizing, intolerant…we need to say…thank you! As long as they have to resort to trying to label us we know they are resisting our true label. Conservative! Conservatism; it’s the right thing to do!
